Meet The Filmmakers
Madeleine Van Dam
Madeleine is a Documentary Studies alum of Ithaca College, class of 2017. She has worked on a few different documentaries that have taken her up and down the east coast, including titles such as Weaving and Man in a Van. She has a minor in writing and has been published twice, once in Stillwater Magazine, and the other on an online publication, The RPD Society. She has previously interned at Coppola Films and Golden Apple Media in London, UK and is an avid cheese stick enthusiast.
Will Gregg
Will is a Television-Radio alum of Ithaca College with a minor in Business. He has a passion for video editing, television production, and marketing. In school, Will produced and edited a short lacrosse documentary titled Stacking 24s, which was featured on two national lacrosse websites, in addition to producing the Ithaca College Television show The Screening Room. He has interned at NBC, CBS, and ABC for programming such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Olympics, and local news and sports stations
Eddie Mostert
Eddie is a Television-Radio alum of Ithaca College. In the spring of his Junior Year, Eddie produced his own documentary titled KickFlipped; about a man in Ithaca who gives back to the community he grew up skateboarding in. Eddie’s specializes in documentary cinematography, and is the director of photography for Walk On The Mountain. His past experience includes producing videos for Idyllic Clothing, the Ithaca College HiFashion Society, and interning at Photosynthesis Productions where he is currently employed. Eddie also enjoys long walks on calm beaches, traveling, and pop-punk music.
Julia Keahey
Julia is a senior Documentary Studies and Production major with a Marketing minor at Ithaca College graduating in December 2017. She works as a producer, accountant, and whatever for this film. During her time at Ithaca College she has worked on The Ithacan Multimedia team, and her most popular the Ithaca student protests, was featured on The New York Times, CNN, Al Jazeera, MSNBC, and other news outlets. This past summer she interned at Downtown Television Center (DCTV NY) in the production department working two docs on Quinceanera for HBO and On The Outside for PBS: Frontline. For her last project, she traveled to Flint, Michigan to produce Fish Out of Water, a documentary exploring the residents of Flint during the Flint Water Crisis, and the hanging balance of the once-blooming city. Julia is also an alumni of Oakland Early College, where she was dual-enrolled and graduated with her associate’s degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in film
Onika Richards
Onika is a senior Documentary Studies and Production major at Ithaca College with minors in sociology and journalism. She has directed and produced two major documentary projects in her hometown of Brooklyn. The topics include Gentrification and the story of Shanduke McPhatter, a former Bloods gang member fighting against senseless gun violence in his community. This past summer she interned as a production intern with NBC in New York City. She is currently an assistant producer of Ithaca College’s Television “Newswatch." When she is not behind a camera, she is either dancing, trying new cool restaurants or working at her job with ITS. Next semester, she will be studying abroad in Los Angeles followed by a semester in Cape Town, South Africa where she will continue to explore the world around her through her lens.
Luke Watkins
Luke is a senior Documentary Studies and Production major at Ithaca College. During the fall of his sophomore year, he produced a documentary on Ithaca’s homeless issues and their impacts on local shelters. He has a sociology minor and enjoys having insightful discussion on issues that plague local and global societies. This is his second year being a Resident Assistant for Upper Terraces and he is currently the RA for the Outdoor Adventure Learning Community. You can find Luke also known as DJ WAAA on Ithaca College's VIC Radio, backpacking in the woods, or experimenting in the kitchen.
